Lemon and Asparagus Pasta Recipe

1/4 cup of olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, fresh herbs (such as basil or parsley)
Directions:
Cook the pasta according to package instructions, until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Add the asparagus to the pan and sauté for 3-5 minutes, until tender but still crisp.
Add the lemon zest and juice to the pan, along with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
Add the cooked pasta to the pan, along with the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
Optional: Serve with Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and fresh herbs, if desired.
